Happy New Year!
What a crazy year. Seriously, ups, downs, middles, late nights, early mornings, great people. I truly have loads to be thankful for as this year comes to a close. I have wonderful friends and loved ones, I'm employed, and I've become friends with all of YOU! You all have been such a huge part of making this year what it has been, and for that, I'm eternally grateful! You helped me reached my goal of 365 days, and helped me make the decision to keep going. You've understood and been patient when there are days (or multiple days) since I got the second job where I really just don't have the time to create a nail design and post it. You've emailed me ideas, you've offered both praise and criticism, and most of all, you've changed my life.
As we embark upon this new year ahead of us, I will do my best to continue to make this blog a place for inspiration and laughs, and make it a place you still like to visit.
My blog resolution is to make more time to respond to emails and posts (I DO read them all!!) and make sure I get swatching and reviews done in a timely manner.
And, now to the nails...
I used Orly Luxe as a base, with Color Club Sultry Diva over it. For the New Year Baby and Old Man Time, I used American Apparel Mannequin for the skin, American Apparel Hassid to outline, and MAC Vestral White for the white on the robes, sashes, and diaper. For Old Man Time's beard, I added a touch of American Apparel Hassid to the white to paint the beard, and for the scythe I used American Apparel Raccoon for the handle, and China Glaze Millennium for the blade. Topped it all off with 2 coats of Seche Vite.
So... Happy New Year! May 2011 be the best so far, but not the best to come.

Silver New Year's Eve 2011
This is my last design for 2010! Happy New Year!!!! I'm so looking forward to what 2011 will bring. I am determined to pursue a career as a nail technician and I pray I can get it moving this year!
Anyways...LOL I used a chunky silver mix and silver holographic glitter acrylic to create this design. I actually made the mix on camera so you can see how I do it. It's very easy. I also used a square swarovski crystal to decorate it.
Entering 2011 with a 'bling'
Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had a blast bringing in the new year; I spent the last few hours of 2010 playing mahjong with family friends before settling back to watch the fantastic fireworks display. I decided to wave in 2011 with some flashy nails and what better polish can we find than glitter for this? :)
This is three thin coats of Color Club's Magic Attraction and sealed with a top coat. I looooooove this polish and I can't believe it's taken me so long to use this in a full manicure. It's so bling and eyecatching, LOVE IT! I received several compliments on this :).
First photo is taken under sunlight and the following taken indoors with flash.

Gift Wrapped
Hey Y'all! I'm so sorry I didn't add the last two Christmas designs! I have been feeling soooo lazy, plus I've been playing the Sims 3 non-stop! LOL! But I will be updating today with 4 new designs. Two are Christmas and the other two are New Year's.
The first design is a white french manicure but I added some iridescent glitter to it. Then I applied gold nail art paint in swirls then applied gold ribbon. I also made a bow with gold acrylic but that looked kinda funky so I painted over it with gold glitter nail art paint... It's a lot of gold and a little hard to see. Hope you like it though!

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Lacey Lilac
Happy New Year's Eve, Dear Reader!
I really wanted to use another of the new Sally Hansen Xtreme Wears today even though it was just a creme (last year's NYE mani was so blingy I broke off a nail removing it!), so I decided to just go with it and add a little glitter.
It turned out that Lacey Lilac, the lavender creme from the Xtreme Wear display I recall nothing about, is a fantastic layering polish. It's super pigmented, so it only took one coat to be completely even and opaque. For a pastel, that's a big deal. If I were to wear Lacey Lilac alone, I'd do two coats so it would be nice and shiny, but as a base for some glitter, one coats was plenty. I added one coat of FingerPaints Floatin' on a Cloud to it, topped it off with top coat, and now I have a glitterific pastel manicure.

Nail Dangles, Latest Trend in Nail Art 2011
Splendour of nails is no more restricted to just a covering of your desired nail color. It has departed further than that conservative decorating to contain fresh approach and designs such as the exercise of nail dangles.
The most excellent method to beautify your nails with dangles is by piercing which permits you to bore a hole in your nail and put the ring. For this you must initially bore a hole through the bottom of the nail so that you recognize merely the nail piece is being pierced. You have to twirl the tool back and forth in order to create an opening and once it’s done you can tenderly place in one end of the ring into the opening and shut it.
It is significant to place a topcoat polish where the ends of the ring assemble in order to strengthen it more. Piercing your nails doesn’t harm and this absolutely adds extra durability and reduces the danger of your nail dangle coming apart anytime and everywhere. So next time you make a decision to attempt out somewhat distinctive with your nails, do decide on for nail dangles that will certainly add a fascinating gleam and make them rise up anywhere you go.

E.L.F Party Purple
This is another of my Christmas prezzy polishes. It's a great colour but it needed 3 coats to be completely opaque. You can't really see the silver glitter as well when it's on the nail.

Dirty Sexy Money
Maaan, I really suck. I'm sorry I haven't been updating as much lately, the holiday season has really busied me up and on top of that, I have recently been reaching for polishes which I have already shown on my blog so there was no need to blog. But as the festive season draws to an end, I hope to be able to blog more :).
Below is two coats of Misa's Dirty Sexy Money. It's a really pretty dusty turquoise; I can't believe it's taken me this long to put it on!
Thanks for dropping by~
