Tracy Reese Sally Hansen Salon Spring 2009

Good afternoon, Dear Reader!

Guess what I got? The SH Tracy Reese Salons! Whoo hoo!!!

I got all seven colors, and this collection is probably my favorite of the season for a few reasons. First, you'll see in the pictures that the variety of colors is broad - it's what a collection I'd put together would be in terms of variety. Second, every single one of these is a two-coater. They're very well pigmented and apply smoothly. I ♥ them very, very much!

I normally split up collections with six or more colors so as not to bombard you and so the page will load this century, but not today. These colors are so varied that the collection should be viewed together.

The first six are just swatches, two coats of polish with no base or top coat, and the seventh is a full manicure with base and top coat. All are under artificial light, and I'll present them in the reverse order that I ♥ them, from the least love to the most.

In slot #7 is Beet Stain, just because this beet-colored creme is dupey to other colors.

Coming in at #6 is Azalea, which applied like a dream, because this pink creme is dupey to others.

Now it starts getting hard to rank them, because the colors are more unique. At #5 I'll put Tassel, a bronzey gold shimmer, just because it's the least Springy color.

At #4 is Nasturtium, a really unique orange creme that doesn't rank higher because I like orange less than the other colors yet to come.

Now we're down to the top 3! #3, Forsythia, reminds me of Dijon mustard (just an observation, not a criticism), and it has a secret shimmer. I like it so well because it's such a unique color.

Now I'm in trouble because I have a tie for #1. We'll call them 1a and 1b! Next is Night Hydrangea, a truly fabulous bluish purple with a secret shimmer.

Now, #1a, which s my post-swatching manicure, is Honeydew. This one's just a beauty, a light teal shimmer.

That's a lot of pictures! I'm really excited about this Tracy Reese Sally Hansen Salon Collection though, so I had to show them to you right away. Now I'm off to show my message board the same. Before I sign off, one more thing:

Had you noticed the "You're Visitor Number" counter in the bottom right? It's actually for page views, not distinct visitors, but what the heck, close enough... In any case, it's approaching three million. If you have the three millionth page view, send me a screen shot of it at exactly three million (at Siobhan@TheNailphile.com), and I'll send you a prize. Even if it's close and you hit F5 until it hits three million, that's fine - I don't mind how you get there! The prize is a secret, but very, very cool, and is open to all readers worldwide. Whoever gets the 3M gets the surprise present, regardless of where you live. That's just my way of saying Thank You to you, Dear Reader, for sticking with me for three million page views. Once we top three million, I'll tell you more about The Master Plan, and possibly put my idea for the plan up for a vote. Thanks for being here, Dear Reader, and enjoy!

That's all for today, Dear Reader. Until tomorrow, love and nail polish to you!
