I have another from the Orly Prepster Collection for you - Tennis Anyone? This one is a semi sheer nude that's about as close to having bare nails as I'm going to get. Even in three coats, it was a bit uneven.
Well, I wasn't just going to leave it like that, nor was I going to start over, which made me think of the recent suggestion to Konad over nakey nails. Since, as I mentioned, this is as close to nakey as I'm going to get, I decided to Konad something bold over it. I chose black Konad special nail polish, an all-over pattern from plate M51, and then covered the gap at my tips with the French tip pattern from plate M19. Here's my finished Konadicure.
Quite a transition, no? It's a bit odd, but I like it a lot nonetheless. Who would have thought such a nail polish as Tennis Anyone? could provide the foundation for such a bold manicure? Not me...
I have a few other sheers sitting around, most notably the Jessica Cosmetics BCA Collection right in front of me, that are good semi-sheer natural nail polishes in two coats, Big 3 Free, and I've been wondering what to do with. Now I think I know! I like how the pattern really pops off the natural base, and will likely try a few more manis along these lines with different colors of Konad special nail polish.
That's all for now, Dear Reader. Until next time, love and nail polish to you!
