Essie Winter 2009 Collection

Good morning, Dear Reader!

Essie sent me preview samples of their Winter 2009 Collection, and today I have swatches of them for you. "Sweet Time of the Year" is the theme of the collection, and the three colors all have candy names. There's a sheer pink, a red jelly, and a mint green creme.

Rock Candy is the sheer pink, and I used two coats, but probably should have done a third. It's colored just enough to even out the worst of the staining on my nails, and since I've been trying to branch out a bit lately, I'll likely use this one for a Konad base. Here is Rock Candy.

Lollipop is a red jelly, and I used three coats of this one simply due to my personal preference not to see a Visible Nail Line. It's barely there still, but since this is a jelly, that's okay. In two coats it was even and a right red jelly. Here's Lollipop.

The color from this collection I most anticipated is Mint Candy Apple, a pale green creme. This shade is opaque and even in two coats, and is unique amongst the pale greens we've seen this year. I give you Mint Candy Apple!
